| Notable Info The Willow City Loop is best enjoyed at the height of the Spring wildflower bloom, falling usually between Spring Break and Easter (depending upon wet weather cycles). Entry to and exit from the Willow City Loop are marked by roadway cattle guards. While I have never seen free ranging cattle while cruising the Willow City Loop, the views of the flowers and geology are best enjoyed at less than 20mph. Cattle guards are also present on FM 965 north of Enchanted Rock. Speed should be checked on this portion of the cruise as well as you will encounter livestock standing in the road. Visitation to Enchanted Rock is increasingly difficult unless planned ahead of time as a full-day, single destination visit (reservations recommended). |
