| Notable Info Westward on Ranch Road 473 has opportunities for spirited driving as does eastward return on Farm to Market 1888. RR473 has many close turns and hills/dips to navigate and gives all suspension parts a good workout. Do RR473 in small groups of 3-5 cars, with drivers being of equal skill and interest for the day. Old Nine Road up to Grapetown is enjoyable but should be done at lower speed due to many rock outcroppings and low water crossings. The Alamo Springs Cafe off of the Grapetown Road segment is reported to be permanently closed. Luckenbach is a must for newbies and old-hands alike, with free live music on outdoor stages each weekend. |
